Women on the Move Awards 2018: 9th March, Southbank Centre

Join us at 6.30pm on March 9 to celebrate inspirational migrant women!

The Women on the Move Awards recognise the committed and courageous women who are starting their lives again in an unfamiliar country, yet still find the energy and determination to provide support and leadership on a grassroots level to help others settling in the UK.

Founded by Zrinka Bralo, CEO of Migrants Organise, and delivered in partnership with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, and WOW – Women of the World Festival, the Women on the Move Awards recognise and support the contribution that refugee women make towards standing up against prejudice and inspiring others.

With a performance by double Mercury Prize nominee composer, singer and songwriter Laura Mvula, the awards also celebrate people who champion refugees in the UK. The Sue Lloyd-Roberts media award – in memory of the pioneering journalist – recognises outstanding journalism on migration issues.
