The Forum’s submission to the Leveson Inquiry

In November 2011, the Forum submitted evidence to The Leveson Inquiry: Culture, Practice and Ethics of the Press. You can read our original blog post about it here.

Our submission, along with many others, have been published on the Inquiry’s website. We hope by participating in the Leveson Inquiry that we are able to raise the concerns and voices of many migrants and refugees who are effected by the negligent and unethical reporting that exists in the UK.

Our main concerns continue to be the toxic and racist headlines which permeate the media, the difficult and inaccessible complaint process, and the backwards idea that the ‘public interest’ is to sell papers rather than facts.

You can download our submission in full from the Inquiry’s website.
