Stand Up! Speak Out! Trainings 2025

We won’t let our public services become a tool of hostile immigration enforcement. It’s time to stand up and speak out!

Migrants Organise is proud to join other members of the Solidarity Knows No Borders community in announcing the third annual Stand Up! Speak Out!, a series of free, online trainings to resist the Hostile Environment in public services. Stand Up! Speak Out! 2025 will begin on March 18, World Social Work Day, with an exciting online panel event exploring this year’s theme: The Power of Words.

After the launch, we’ll be running regular online sessions from March through June 2025 on topics like:

  • Building new narratives about migration
  • How to navigate the asylum system
  • Knowing your rights to access healthcare
  • Community organising for housing justice
  • How to resist immigration raids
  • Legal aid 101 for non-lawyers
  • Safeguarding to resist the hostile environment
  • And so much more!

Through Stand Up! Speak Out!, the Solidarity Knows No Borders community have trained over 2000 social workers, doctors, teachers, community  workers, migrant justice organisers and more. Trainings are led by frontline migrant rights organisations, people directly affected by hostile immigration policies, community organisers & specialists and more.
