This is the July 2009 issue of The Forum newsletter. This month we talk about the positive progression that programmes such as ‘Engage to Change’ and our metoring programme ‘ Where Strangers Become Friends’ are doing in providing a platform for migrants to present their realities but also engage with decision makers and opinion former. This issue is a reflection of the struggles of prejudices and discrimination towards immigrants in the UK as a result of media misrepresentation of facts and figures of migrants in the UK, making integration a challenge. We also introduce our new ‘Advice Project’ in partnership with the North Kensington Law Centre, as well as our new ‘Community Health Project’.
