Great Get Together In Solidarity with Grenfell

Thank you for all your messages of support and your generous donations. Along with our neighbourhood, we grieve for all lives lost. This tragedy is personal to us as we have lost some of our members and some are still missing.

Together with our community, we are involved in the efforts to manage and distribute overwhelming donations of clothes, food and toiletries. We would like to appeal to you to donate funds from now on as we have run out of storage space for goods. Please make your donation here and also if you can, please come and volunteer your time to help sort out and distribute the enormous amount of donations already received.

Our planned Great Get Together this Saturday, June 17th from 12 noon to 5 pm at the Portobello Green will be dedicated to the Grenfell Fire efforts in our community. We will be there with drinks, snacks, and with information on how we can best help Grenfell Tower survivors. There will be spaces to speak to each other and reflect on how we feel, and how we go forward as a community. We will also provide you with up-to-date information on how to best support our community in the aftermath of this tragedy.

Grenfell message

North Kensington is not just where Migrants Organise is based, it is our neighbourhood. We live and work with migrant and refugee communities struggling to rebuild their lives in a borough that has sheltered them upon arriving in this country. We grieve for and with our neighbours and members who lost their lives in this tragedy. We also stand with survivors and we hope you will join us on Saturday on Portobello Green and support our community in an organised way.

Portobello Green is between Cambridge Gardens and Thorpe Close (under the Westway), W10 5XL. Nearest tube is Ladbroke Grove.
