Migrants Organise

migrants and refugees acting for justice

Migrants Organise is a platform where refugees and migrants organise for power, dignity and justice. We develop leadership and open up spaces for relational, organised participation of migrants and refugees in public life.

From two decades work as the Migrant and Refugee Communities Forum, we know that migrants and refugees make a positive contribution to our country. Migration is fact of life, instead of resisting it – let’s organise it.

What We Do

We organise. We mobilise. We mentor. We train. We celebrate.

Speak Out

We speak out. We make our voices heard, and we take a stand on the issues that affect us.

Connect

We connect people. We act relationally to help people belong.

Build Common Ground

We bring diverse people together around shared issues, on a shared platform.

Grow Power

We grow power. We provide a platform for people to be powerful and develop skills, leadership, confidence and their connections.

Nominations open for the Women on the Move Awards 2019

Courageous. Powerful. Unstoppable.

Migrant and refugee women are smashing stereotypes, breaking boundaries, and connecting communities. The Women on the Move Awards, presented by Migrants Organise and UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, celebrates them – the women who use positivity and inventiveness to make exceptional contributions to UK society and lead ground-breaking social change.

Nominations for the Women on the Move Awards 2019 are now open – visit the awards website to nominate the inspiring refugee and migrant women you know, the people who champion them, and the journalists who tell their stories. Nominations close at 5pm on Monday, 15th October 2018.
